14 Exclusive ServiceMaster Franchise Territory Licences for Sale
Location North West England
Asking Price GBP 175,000
A rare opportunity to buy a total of 14 exclusive ServiceMaster franchises spanning 14 key regional territories across the North West of England. The vendor has operated these franchises very succesfully for over 25 years and in that time their businesses have developed and grown into the highly efficient multi-faceted buildings, facilities and property maintenance and services companies that exist today.

Due to the vendors historical business successes, they themselves have developed many other business opportunities and now wish to spend more time pursuing some of these, as well as spending more time enjoying their other passions and pastimes as they are now financially secure as retirement approaches.

What is for sale are the 14 ServiceMaster Licences and not the trading companies. We are advised by the vendor a single territory ServiceMaster franchise licence costs in the region of circa GBP 25,000 so this is an excellent opportunity for a purchaser to acquire some 14 mature and developed regions at a very competitive price. Many of the territories are densely populated in terms of commercial, industrial and residential buildings and properties. The licences enable the purchaser to offer a comprehensive range of services including insurance driven fire and flood restoration services to residential clients, commercial cleaning services, small remedial works, and furniture restoration services.

The vendors acquired their first franchise territory back in 1986 and the most recent purchase was some 12 years ago.

These franchises have historically specialised in working on behalf of national insurance companies, loss adjusters and brokers in supplying a comprehensive disaster restoration service to residential and commercial customers due to fire, water or smoke damage. They have provided a comprehensive range of services including carpet/upholstery restoration, furniture repair, water extraction, dehumidification, odour removal, trauma/spill removal and other related services.

This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a group of some 14 franchise regional licences (many adjacent) at a very competetive price that have been developed very successfully over the years.

Expansion Potential
The businesses that operated under these franchise licences have enjoyed very good levels of business to date resulting in equally impressive profits being realised over the years. The demand for the services of this franchise are strong and have been further fuelled by the extreme weather conditions that the UK seems to be experiencing on a more and more frequent basis.

There are also many areas for on-going expansion. Previous opportunities existed within these regions for the current owners to take on large national contracts (via the franchisor). This is something that they decided not to pursue through choice but may exist to a new owner.

The owners by their own admission have historically been more reactive rather than proactive in their sales activity. The on-going development of relationships with loss adjusters in the areas these licences cover would drive volumes and profits still higher.

Market / Competition / Non-Competition Agreements
The majority of the advertising and marketing that has been carried out on behalf of these exclusive franchise regions over time has been undertaken centrally by the franchisor. However a large proportion of the business that has been undertaken by these regions historically has been generated via insurance bodies, the franchisor, recommendations and referrals. There is no reason why this trend would not continue.
